Would you like to spend springin the wildest, rawest, and most beautiful classroom in the world? We have selected the best that Norwegian outdoor life has to offer, through trips throughout the spring
When winter arrives, a variety of ski trips await, with both daypacks and large backpacks, overnight stays in snow caves, and visits to blue ice caves. As spring melts the snow, we wrap up with a canoe trip, climbing, and a solo night under the starry sky.
The goal is for you to learn how to take care of yourself and feel at home in different natural environments, no matter the weather. You’ll get a well-rounded introduction to outdoor life, with a focus on both individual and group learning. Regardless of your experience, you’ll face new challenges and adventures while building strong bonds with your fellow adventurers.
We will focus on getting to know some of Norway’s most spectacular outdoor areas, traveling sustainably, and seeing as much as possible with a small carbon footprint. There will be good conversations around the campfire, nights under the open sky, cabin trips, and tent trips.
This will be a year filled with countless magical experiences in Norway.
Our goal for your year at Sogndal Folk High School is to increase your knowledge of nature, so that you become safer and freer when you go out into the wilderness alone or with friends.
A year you won't regret!
