Are you ready for towering mountains, deep valleys, and powerful nature experiences? Do you dream of a diverse year spent in the great outdoors?
Fall offers endless opportunities. We start by earning a kayaking certification, packing our tents, and heading out on a kayaking trip through our stunning fjords, surrounded by towering mountains. Next, we venture into the mountains, aiming for summits and fishing spots. You'll also experience glacier climbing with crampons and an ice axe. As the days grow shorter, we enjoy cozy evenings by the fire, surfing in Hoddevika, and climbing – both indoors and outdoors.
Versatility is a word that perfectly describes this program. Fall brings us long hikes with tents, mountain summits, kayaking, glacier climbing, and challenging experiences like the infamous "61 Degrees North" challenge.
The goal of the outdoor life program is to teach you how to care for yourself and thrive in various natural environments, regardless of the weather. You'll get a comprehensive introduction to outdoor skills, with a focus on teamwork and learning both individually and as a group. No matter your prior experience, you'll face new challenges and create unforgettable experiences while building strong bonds with your adventure companions.
By the end of the semester, we aim for you to become a more confident and independent outdoor enthusiast – ready for new adventures, whether on your own or with friends.
The best part? You'll share all these experiences with others who also love the outdoors!
