Do you want to join us in winter's coolest and most beautiful classroom? We have handpicked the best that Norwegian outdoor life has to offer, and through our trips, we will experience the vast divers
Winter offers endless opportunities in Norway. When the snow settles, we bring out the mountain skis and embark on ski tours. You'll learn telemark turns and go on longer ski trips with overnight stays outdoors. Don’t fear the cold – together, we'll learn to handle it. Winter also brings exciting activities like staying in snow caves, exploring blue ice caves, kiting, and avalanche awareness.
When the spring sun comes out, it’s time to test outdoor climbing. We’ll sleep under the open sky, go hiking along the coast, and challenge ourselves with a solo day in the wilderness. Spring brings new experiences, and we make the most of every season.
We will focus on getting to know some of the most spectacular outdoor areas in Norway. Traveling sustainably, with a focus on experiencing as much as possible with minimal emissions. There will be great conversations around the campfire, nights under the open sky, cabin trips, and camping adventures.

The Northern Lights, steep mountains, white, sandy beaches and sunsets!
Fish for Atlantic cod, try surfing, enjoy a camp fire and the unique beauty of this reknown area. There are not many places that can compare to Lofoten, and this is something we get to experience together.
Naturally, we travel low-impact - and this enables us to enjoy not only our destination, but also the journey that takes us there. Travelling much of the length of the country takes us through outstanding scenery, different climate zones, and gives us plenty of exciting experiences underway right from the start.
To experience an evening with the aurora dancing across the sky whilst listening to the sound of the waves breaking on the beach is really quite unique.
From the Sognefjord to the open northern seas -where we may be greeted with storms or blue skies as far as the eye can see, can only be experienced.
Northern-Norway is also famous for its' humor, and there is a good chance we will be subjected to it!

During the 3rd week of the spring semester, we travel to the ski resort of Hemsedal. We stay in chalets at the base of the lift area, perfect for "Ski-in - ski-out" For 3 full days we develop our skiing technique and learn new tricks. The students are divided into small groups and can choose between Telemark (free-heel skis) and downhill or ski-touring skiing. We hire a few instructors in addition to our own staff so you get plenty of instruction. There are two instruction periods during the day, and the rest of the time you are free to ski with your fellow students.
Evenings are spent together in the lounges at the chalets after an evening meal.

Towards the end of the school year, we depart for a two-day cruise on the Sognefjord. We have a whole vessel to ourselves, and we sail into Aurlandsjord and Nærøyfjord -where we camp overnight in the scenic fjord-hamlet of Dyrdal -a tiny, roadless community which offers plenty of opportunities -and space - for activities and mountain hikes for those who wish. We live onboard the vessel, in the local empty village school, -or, for those who prefer, camp in tents or under the sky. We barbecue our own food and enjoy a social evening aroung a camp fire. On day two, we disembark and hike along the enchanting postal trail to Styvi, where we have lunch, and for those who wish, a refreshing dip in the fjord!

Every year we have a limited number of foreign students. Our teaching program is practically oriented, we do not have a bespoke language learning program for foreign students. However, there are students from abroad almost every year; primarily from the US, the UK, and other European countries.
This means that for the individual student, most of the language learning takes place interacting with the Norwegian students and the teachers. If you actively work on learning Norwegian from the beginning, the challenges of language barriers will not stop you from full participation in the school program.
