Ever dreamed about a year with outstanding vistas, or carrying a heavy pack in the mountains, kayaking, glacier trekking and making food on a camp fire? Then this is your choice!
We start by earning a kayaking certification and set off on a trip through the beautiful fjords. After that, we head to the mountains for summit hikes and fishing, and you'll experience glacier climbing with crampons and an ice axe. As the days get shorter, we enjoy campfires, surfing, and climbing – both indoors and outdoors.
When the snow falls, we bring out the mountain skis and go on summit tours. You'll learn telemark turns and embark on longer ski trips with overnight stays outdoors. Together, we learn how to handle the cold, with activities such as sleeping in snow caves, exploring blue ice caves, kiting, and avalanche safety.
When the spring sun arrives, it's time for outdoor climbing. We sleep under the open sky, hike along the coast, and challenge ourselves with a solo night alone in nature.
Versatility is key. Autumn brings long mountain hikes with tents, summit tours, kayaking, and glacier climbing. Winter offers a variety of ski trips with both daypacks and larger backpacks, dog sledding, overnight stays in snow caves, and blue ice cave explorations. As spring melts the snow, we finish with a canoe trip, climbing, and a solo night under the starry sky.
The goal of the year is to learn how to thrive in nature, regardless of the weather. You'll get a comprehensive introduction to outdoor life, with a focus on collaboration and learning. Regardless of your experience, you'll face new challenges while building strong bonds with your fellow adventurers.
