If you have an interest in cooking and food culture, considering a career in the field, or simply want to impress with your cooking skills in your free time, what we learn is useful for both.
In this course, we will combine cooking techniques and the theory behind the concept of street food.
Throughout the school year, we will spend a lot of time in the kitchen and cover several different topics:
- Cooking techniques
- Food from different continents
- Use of seasonal ingredients
- Baking
- Cooking from scratch
- Economy
- Vegetarian food
- Company visits
- Environment and sustainability
The course is built on the foundation of locally sourced and organic ingredients, continuing the values that Sund's kitchen is already known for. For us, ecological thinking is about taking care of the Earth.
Great food experiences
During a year in the Street Food course, students will prepare and enjoy food from several parts of the world. We make Mexican tacos, Japanese ramen, Peruvian ceviche, and steamed buns, to name a few.
Everything we learn throughout the school year is important, as in the spring we will put it into practice. Then, it’s our turn to offer street food to other guests, either through a pop-up restaurant or a food truck. This also gives us the experience that behind all these quick dishes, there can be a lot of preparation work involved.
