Explore nature photography with Lofoten as your classroom. Exciting trips to mountains, fjords, and famous national parks. Whale watching, sea eagle safari, dramatic landscapes and magical light.
For those who:
- Want to get close to nature
- Want to learn basic outdoor skills and feel confident on trips
- Want to learn more about your camera and photography
– A year with your camera in magical Lofoten!
Capture the wild landscapes, the changing lights through the seasons, and the rich wildlife of the archipelago. Experience the autumn colors, the blue hours in snow-covered landscapes, the northern lights sparkling across the winter night sky, and the bright spring nights. Capture sea eagles and orcas with your camera, and meet people living in harmony with nature!
On the Nature Photography program, we combine photography with an active outdoor lifestyle. In the first part of the school year, we go on several longer trips. During day hikes in different parts of Lofoten, you will get to know the archipelago and experience the wildlife.
After Christmas, we enjoy the incredible winter light, going on whale safaris in Andenes and a week-long ski trip in the mountains. As Easter approaches, Lofoten's fishing season begins, and the entire archipelago seems to awaken from its winter slumber!
During the darkest period of the year, you will also learn portrait photography in the studio, as well as analog photography and darkroom work.
Throughout the year, you will meet a variety of guest instructors who are experts in their fields.
