Welcome to beautiful Lofoten! We make the most of nature and explore a wide range of outdoor activities: sailing, kayaking, mountain hiking, ski touring, outdoor cooking, camping, surfing and more.

We try our hand at surfing and sailing. We go on amazing hikes, ski tours, and paddling adventures, to name a few. The nature and culture of Lofoten provide a fantastic arena for learning a versatile outdoor lifestyle.

Friluftsliv Lofoten program makes full use of everything Lofoten has to offer, teaching you how to travel safely in varied conditions and across all seasons. You will also earn certifications such as the climbing certificate (Brattkort), the paddling certificate (Våttkort), and the boat operator’s license (Båtførerbevis).

Lofoten is a spectacular destination in itself, and when we add visits to the stunning Vesterålen and the wild, exciting Abisko, the experience becomes truly unforgettable.

A broad skill set opens up many opportunities, and throughout the year, you will learn everything you need for an outdoor life in the mountains, forests, or at sea. You will learn to harvest and prepare food from nature, camp in a tent during winter, navigate traditional boats, and master the telemark turn, among other things.

We make full use of our proximity to the sea, coast, and mountains throughout the year. Key themes include Leave No Trace principles, foraging for food, knowledge of plant and animal life, and developing skills in boating, forestry, and mountain travel. In our grand and pristine nature, we will learn how to move safely in all conditions. And in the end we hope you become one of those who carry Lofoten in their heart for the rest of their life.

Our goal is plenty of fellowship, skills and traditional outdoor living, all through the dark winter days, and into the white nights. There will be challenges like biking, telemark skiing, peak hiking, climbing, hunting and fishing. You will be instructed in the making of necessary equipment, first aid, security, scouting, guiding and how nature and culture interwine.

We offer major subjects within these areas:
Outdoor life: * Mountaineering * Telemark/ Climbing * Lofoten
Photography: * Natur * Pro
