Do you dream of becoming an actor? Do you want to stand on a stage or act in a film? Do you have ambitions to further develop your acting talent? We help you one step further on the way to your dream!

An actor must use his own body as an instrument.
That is why we work with, among other things:

Stanislavski's method is the basis for much of the teaching.

We work with given circumstances, the method of physical actions, ability to observe, imagination and analysis.

You can work individually, in groups and together with the whole class. Acting is a collective art form that places great demands on us to be able to work together.

We have a close collaboration with the Film and TV class and everyone gets to try their hand in front of the camera.
In addition, you get to take part in a large theater production in Black Box format.

Both through the film class's many short films, in a multi-camera project with the TV class, and in the acting class's own film project, you gain useful experience working both in front of and behind the camera.

We have exciting workshops led by professional actors in the industry, including method acting, stage combat, casting and audition training.

During the year, you will receive information, advice and guidance on various acting courses, application deadlines and audition training. In addition, you get the opportunity to experience many different theaters and films, and you also get a thorough introduction to what an actor's everyday life looks like.

Danvik Folkehøgskole is an excellent example of how the Nordic folkehøgskole tradition helps young people get ready for the future.

In addition to promoting important life skills and Christian values, our Norwegian boarding school has built a solid reputation by giving students a foot inside the door of an increasingly competitive media industry.

The education at Danvik is divided between programme subjects, common subjects, elective subjects, workshops and practice.
Students will spend roughly half the year producing bigger projects like short movies, shows and documentaries for TV and radio, video games, plays, anthologies or photo exhibitions, all depending on which of the seven programmes they have chosen.

In the common subjects, they will encounter interdisciplinary themes like media ethics, history and advertising. As a bonus, students get the chance to learn from the best in the business on trips to Hollywood, Paris and Berlin. We also cooperate with a school in India.
