Are you fascinated by East Asia? Would you like to learn both Chinese and Japanese while exploring two of the world's most exciting cultures? This line gives you everything from insight into China's ancient history and modern technology to Japan's unique culture and language. You learn Mandarin, get to experience the Chinese tea ceremony, food traditions and much more. In addition, you will get a basic introduction to the Japanese language and customs.
The highlight? An epic 4-6 week study tour with an expert teacher where you walk the Great Wall of China, meet pandas, and experience everything from hyper-modern cities to quiet and beautiful villages where life has stood still for many decades. We travel across China from north to south and come to the inland to take in the diversity of the middle kingdom, both culture, history and natural landscape. Local opera in e.g. Chengdu and acrobatics show in Shanghai will also be included.
In Japan, we are also constantly on the move to new and exciting places. Tokyo, Kyoto, Uji and Nara are always on the bucket list. Let's hope we can enjoy the cherry blossoms while we're there. The study tour is always tailored to the class each year.
