    Focus Europe is the line for you who want to get to know and experience the best Europe has to offer. Sights, history, young people in Europe and cultural differences. We go on interrail.

    This year you will get to know our own continent Europe better!

    Focus on European history and culture

    We learn about and discuss historical retrospectives and current challenges facing Europe

    We get to know each other well and form friendships through varied and social activities

    We choose an aid project that we work on ahead of the trip, and which we can visit on the trip

    There will be a good mix between theory and practice

    Interrail and island hopping: The destinations vary from year to year. In 23/24 we are going to Denmark, Germany, Austria, Italy, Slovenia and Croatia.Later, we will take the Orient Express which will end in Istanbul.

    Together we will plan our own European adventure!

    We will travel by public transport- something that is better for the environment and will enrich us with impressions and experiences along the way

    We will meet people who dream of a better future

    And we will enjoy  days on the beach or snorkelling in the azure blue sea

    Remember that Karmøy Folkehøgskule is the school where you choose 2 subjecs. This means that if you choose the line Focus Asia - you choose one of these lines in addition: Focus Asia - Action & Adventure - Backpack Photo Asia - Norwegian Culture Food & Language  - Multisport - Vocal & Performance - Golf - Focus Europa - Tasty Food

     

    Da vi har spennende utenlandsturer på begge linjene du som elev går på, har vi valgt å legge fellesturene til vakre og spennende omgivelser i Norden.
    Foruten flere felles skoleturer setter vi også av tid til fellesarrangementer som:

    • konserter
    • kinoforestillinger
    • seminar
    • foredrag

    Foruten alle skolens linjeturer til innland- og utland har vi en felles skoletur til Preikestolen og Stavanger. Skolen ønsker også at våre elever får delta på lokale kulturelle arrangement i skolens nærmiljø, dvs på Haugalandet. Dette er for eksempel spennende konserter, kinoforestillinger, teater og byvandring.

    • Focus Europe including an interrail trip and visiting different island in Norway and the Mediterranean
    • Energyboost including a trip to Brazil, Argentina & Paraguay
    • Outdoor-activity Sea (Friluftsliv Sjø in Norwegian) including a trip to Croatia with diving classes and island hopping with 2 sailboats
    • BRO Africa including a trip to Kenya or Tanzania
    • BRO South America including a trip to Brazil, Argentina & Paraguay
    • Bakery & Pastry (Baker & Konditor in Norwegian) including a trip to Paris and Brussel
    • Football Europe Inkluding a trip to England and Italy
    • Fashion Clothes Design/Redesign including a trip to London - Paris

    Subjects choose 2:

    • Multisport including a trip to Bali, Indonesia
    • Focus Asia & Japan including a trip to Tokyo in Japan
    • Action & Adventure including a trip to Bali, Indonesia
    • Tasty Food including a trip to Toscana in Italy
    • Vocal & Performance including a trip to New York
    • Backpack Photo Asia including a trip to Vietnam
    • Norwegian Culture Food & Language - Discover the beauty of Western Norway.
    • Golf including a trip to Spain and Turkey
    • Focus Europe including an interrail trip and visiting different islands in Norway and in the Mediterranean

    BRO is the shortness of the Norwegian words Bistand-Reise-Oppdrag. They can direct translate to Aid, Travel and Assignment.

    In addition to the subject, you can choose between several different electives as:

    Norwegian, Soccer, Film, Photo, PR, Guitar, Knitting, Baking, Food making, Sewing, different training programs, choir, teambuilding, Volleyball, Multisport, Dans and much more.
