Could you imagine a course filled with new skills in sewing, sewing, design, pattern construction and repair? Or learn knitting, embroidery, screen printing and upcycling?
At Sewing, Slow fashion & Redesign, you will learn to create your own, unique style with care for good materials and techniques that mean that your self-sewn wardrobe will be able to last a long time. Do you want to break away from rapidly changing trends and fast fashion? At StUF, you will gain knowledge about today's textile industry, which gives you the prerequisites to be able to make good, conscious choices in your own work and consumption. Here you are welcome both as a beginner and more experienced. The level will be adapted to the individual so that you get a year rich in learning regardless of previous knowledge.
At Sewing, Slow Fashion and Redesign, you will have great freedom in what you want to sew, so that the finished product is something that suits you and your style. This way you will end up with garments that you want to use and take care of rather than buying new. With Stavanger as your headquarters, you get to visit cool thrift stores and exciting local players in textiles and design. You get to explore different urban spaces with a creative and practical approach in exciting projects with external and internal partners.
With a one-week trip to Norway, you will get to meet designers, companies, factories and entrepreneurs who work with fashion and material production. Here you get an active six months where you can cultivate your creativity and develop your skills. If you are passionate about design and the environment, this is the line for you!
