Could you imagine a year filled with new skills in design, sewing and repair? Do you want to break free away from rapidly changing trends and fast fashion? Then this is the place for you.

This program is for those who has a growing interest in or passion for design and redesign. You do not need any prior skills to enter the program, just the will to learn and develop. Here you wil learn how to create your own unique style with good materials and techniques which gives you a wardrobe that will last for a long time.

The skilled teacher will teach you different thecniques and sewing skills, how to recognies and handle different materials. You will also gain knowledge in how todays textile industry works. This will give you the prerequisities to make good, conciuos choices in your own work and consumption.  

What you sew is very much up to you, and you will have the freedom to chose your own designs, so that the finished products is something that suits you and your style. This way you will end up with garments you actually use and cherish rather than buying new ones. 

With Stavanger as your headquarter you get to visit thriftshops and exciting local designers and material producers. With trips in Norway and Europe you will get to meet designers, visit companies, factories and entrepreneurs who work in fashion and material production.
