Curious about architecture? Do you want to create tomorrow's buildings and cities? Apply for architecture college? Learning from leading architects?
Here at StUF Architecture, you get a committed, playful, innovative and forward-looking insight into what architecture is and can be, in the middle of an exciting and creative urban environment. You get basic techniques in drawing, model building, carpentry and the architectural profession in general. You get to create a portfolio and practice your presentation. You will be guided by an experienced architect.
You will learn exciting theories, get plaster and clay on your hands and share your thoughts with others. You will get to meet and have workshops with several inspiring and renowned architects such as Todd Saunders and architectural firms such as Helen & Hard. Stavanger Urban Folkehøyskole is a school in the city and we have a rich architectural environment around us. Stavanger, as one of six cities in Europe, has been selected as a beacon for the "New European Bauhaus" (NEB).
StUF can offer an exciting collaboration with Neb-STAR around innovative urbanism and urban development. We also work closely with other cultural and artistic performers in our city. You get the opportunity to work interdisciplinary. When we are to build a livable future, we must have smart use of materials, more reuse, better distribution and understand the effects of our construction works on an ecosystem of which we are a part. The buildings of the future must become part of the solution to the green shift. At StUF, we are concerned with interaction and good solutions for the environment.
