Welcome to an exciting and creative year at Evje Folk High School! Music Creation & Performance is for anyone who loves music - whether you sing, play an instrument, or write songs. All genres and styles are welcome!
Throughout the year, you'll develop your own musical expression, collaborate with others, and gain hands-on experience in songwriting, performance, and production. We'll go to concerts, find inspiration, and turn ideas into music.
You'll learn about:
- Songwriting - from idea to recording
- Band collaboration, composing, and arranging
- Lyric writing - poetry, prose, and song lyrics
- Music theory - rhythm, harmony, and melody
- Performance techniques, stage presence, and expression
- Music production and recording your own song
- Exploring different genres and musical influences
- Community concerts and musical outreach projects
