Sometimes the best trips is the one you didn’t plan. Like waking up to the sound of waves, sunlight over the Lofoten mountains, or fresh coffee in a Danish harbor town. VanLife & Interrail is for those who want to feel the wind in their hair, the sun on their face, and the thrill of the unknown.
We start with the basics: hands-on work, creative ideas, and a van that becomes your home. You’ll learn how to transform it with style, function, and sustainability in mind. From interior design to smart storage and cozy lighting – your van becomes your rolling base for adventure. No mechanical skills needed, just curiosity and teamwork.
Throughout autumn, we explore the road across Norway and the Nordics. With two vans and a small group (max 8 students), we decide where to go. Northern lights in Tromsø? Surfing in Hoddevik? A campfire by a fjord? We chase sunsets, hike peaks, and sleep by the sea. It’s a journey through Norway's wild beauty – from coast to mountains.
In spring, we travel by train across Europe – through the Alps, charming villages, and buzzing cities – all the way to Italy. This is interrail with meaning: food, culture, connection.
Back home at Bakketun, everyday life is filled with options: climbing, kayaking, ski trips, creative workshops, and shared experiences with other active students. The nature around Verdal is stunning – and always within reach.
