Our theatre program is designed to inspire and challenge you to grow as an artist and explore your creative side. We offer a diverse and exciting curriculum that covers everything from acting techniques and theatre production to improvisation and stage exploration.

Ål Folk High School offers full-year courses for deaf and hearing signers from all over the world! Our students comes from a wide range of countries from all five continents! We have had students from Madagascar, Iran, India, Chile, Venezuela, Italy, Spain, Denmark, Australia, the USA and many other countries. The only Folk High School for deaf people in Norway, the Ål folkehøyskole and Conference Center for Deaf People is a national resource center in the field of Sign Language and Deaf Studies.

Ål Folk High School is a liberal school owned by the Norwegian Deaf Assocation. We emphasize generosity and inclusion where everyone is seen and has the opportunity to participate. With us, you will experience unity, personal development, and gain a new understanding of diversity and inclusion.
