Torshus is a "folkehøgskole" situated in Mid Norway, less than 50 km from the city of Trondheim, Norway's historical capital.
Torshus is a school with 85 students in Orkland, in the middle of Norway - less than one hour drive from Trondheim, easily reached by train, bus or plane. Orkland has 18.200 inhabitants and is a mixed industrial and agricultural society, as well as a regional center with schools and shopping malls. Also, there are great possibilities for sports and outdoor activities, winter as well as summer. The school is situated close to the famous salmon river, "Orkla", a rural tourist attraction. The region is also known for its active equine sports.
Torshus offers main courses in which you may specialize in a field suitable to your interests. Main courses take appr.15 hours a week.
